16 British trade unions send letter to Turkish ambassador condemning attacks

Representatives of British trade unions addressed the Turkish ambassador in an open letter and condemned the Turkish state's invasion attacks on South Kurdistan and the bombing of Northern and Eastern Syria.

Representatives of 16 British trade unions sent an open letter to Turkey's Ambassador in Britain, condemning the Turkish state's invasion attacks on South Kurdistan and the bombing of Northern and Eastern Syria.

The letter, signed by the unions general secretaries, said that Northern Ireland had taught Britain that conflicts could only be resolved at the negotiation table, and recalled the negotiations between Turkey and the PKK between 2013 and 2015.

The letter calls on the Turkish government to end its policy of violence and repression and to develop a new peace initiative.
