Peter Tatchell, human rights campaigner and Director of the Peter Tatchell Foundation said that "Turkey's actions violate international humanitarian law."

Peter Tatchell, human rights campaigner and Director of the Peter Tatchell Foundation, discussed Turkey’s war crimes against the Kurds, including the use of chemical weapons, with journalist Erem Kansoy.

Tatchell also spoke about the political reasons behind the failure of the UN to hold Turkey accountable, the UK arms trade with Turkey and the responsibility of the British government to call Turkey to account, the shortcomings of international human rights organisations to adequately address human rights abuses in Kurdistan, and calls for governments to cease their arms trade with Turkey, for NATO to suspend Turkey’s membership, and for international diplomats and other bodies to speak out about Turkey’s actions in South Kurdistan and demand a ceasefire and the removal of Turkish troops.
