HPG: Guerrillas hit Turkish forces in Zap

People’s Defence Forces Press Centre (HPG-BIM) reported that the Turkish forces were targeted with heavy weapons in the Zap region and “the targets were hit successfully”.

In a written statement, HPG-BIM stated that guerrillas carried out an action with heavy weapons in the Zap against the Turkish army. In Avashin, the Turkish forces sought to advance through bombardments, yet could not advance in the face of the guerrilla resistance.

The HPG-BIM's statement is as follows:

As part of the Bazên Zagrosê Revolutionary Campaign:

– On September 26, the Turkish forces in Kela Bedewê in the Zap region were targeted by our forces with heavy weapons. The targets were hit accurately.

–On September 25, our forces seized a camera trap that the Turkish army had placed in Girê Şehîd Kamûran in the Xakûrkê region.  

In the Werxelê Resistance Area in the Avaşîn region:

–In the evening of September 26, the Turkish army bombed the Werxelê Resistance Area with heavy weapons. After the bombings, fierce clashes took place between the invaders who sought to advance and the Werxelê Resistance fighters. The invaders could not advance in the face of the resolute resistance of our forces.

-On September 25, the Basya area of ​​Avaşîn region was bombed by fighter jets.

-On September 26, drones belonging to the KDP forces flew over the Sinînê area of ​​the Xakûrkê region. This area was later bombed 3 times by Turkish fighter jets.”
