KDP deploys special forces with heavy weapons to Gare

Gulan forces under the command of Prime Minister Masroud Barzani have been dispatched to the Garê region under guerrilla control. KDP is reported to be seeking to move into guerrilla areas and to build new positions and bases.

The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), the ruling party in Southern Kurdistan, Northern Iraq seeks provocation in the Garê region after Zinê Wertê.

According to local sources, KDP has started on Saturday to deploy Gulan forces under the command of Prime Minister Masroud Barzani to the town of Dînartê in Akra city.

Reports suggest that the KDP is also deploying Roj peshmergas alongside the Gulan forces to the region. Masrour Barzani has reportedly dispatched the Gulan special forces to the area after peshmerga forces refused to be stationed in the areas under guerrilla control.

It is reported that heavy weapons laden on military and civilian vehicles without license plates have been sent to the areas of Melkê, Dosteka, Gîsê, Dînartê, Mezrînganê, Navxoş, Difrî, Mamişmiş. Footage published by Rojnews shows a large military contingent dispatched to the region.
