Raqqa operation: 49 ISIS members killed in last 24 hours

Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) killed 49 ISIS members in Rawda neighborhood of Raqqa, ANHA news agency reported.

SDF forces captured several areas in Al-Rawda neighbourhood after the clashes with ISIS gangs in last 24 hours.

Intense clashes also reported in western neighbourhoods, Al-Amin and Al-Hina. At least 49 ISIS members were killed. The fighters also seized 21 AK-47s and ammunition.

Local sources reported a suicide bomber with a motorbike was killed before reaching its target. No information about the precise location of the attack was available.

SDF says 3 SDF fighters were killed and 4 were wounded during the operation.

The operation to liberate Raqqa started on June 6. SDF fighters now control more than 60 percent of so-called ISIS capital.
