Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons in the massacre carried out by AKP Deputy Halil İbrahim Yıldız’s bodyguards and relatives, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who was injured in the same attack, has been putting up resistance in front of Urfa Courthouse since March 9th.
Speaking on the 207th day of the Justice Vigil, Ferit Şenyaşar said, “Three members of our family were slaughtered in Suruç State Hospital. Despite 3 years and 3 months passing, the authorized prosecutors have not filed a court case. They have been accomplices to this crime and massacre.”
Stating that they are not struggling because of an isolated incident, and they receive support from everyone in the country, Şenyaşar continued, “On October 1, the parliament will open. All political parties follow our rightful struggle. When the parliament opens, our struggle will be one of the main agendas. We will fight to the end; we will not leave Urfa Courthouse.”
‘They intend to whitewash a crime against humanity’
Ferit Şenyaşar recalled that his brother was detained because of political pressures, adding, “Firstly, we demand my unlawfully imprisoned brother to be released. We also demand that the crime against humanity committed in the hospital not be whitewashed.”
Addressing to parliamentarians, Şenyaşar said, “Here, I call upon all deputies. We demand this injustice to be ended immediately.”
