Iran executes four prisoners in Urmia

Kurdistan Human Rights Network reported the execution of four prisoners in Urmia.

Iran executed on Friday at least four prisoners previously sentenced to death on drug-related charges at Urmia (Orumiyeh) Central Prison, in north-western Iran, Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) reported.

According to the KHRN, three of the executed prisoners are Sardar Jalalifar from Naqadeh, Saleh Ghassemi from the village of Zindasht in Salmas, and Mansour Abdizadeh, from the village of Haftevan in Salmas.

The identity of the fourth prisoner remains unknown.

The four prisoners had been transferred to solitary confinement on 7 March for execution.
