Mass funerals take place in Kobanê and Aleppo

Many civilians and fighters have been killed in the last two weeks in the attacks by Turkey and its SNA proxies on the self-governing region of Northern and Eastern Syria, but the exact number of dead and injured is unclear. As in recent days, mass funerals took place in several cities on Friday.

Funeral of eight martyrs in Kobanê

In Kobanê, thousands of people attended the funeral of eight fallen fighters from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the self-defense forces HXP (Erka Xweparastin). Diyar (Diyar Bozan), Dirxam Kobanê (Dirxam Mihemed), Delîl Kobanê (Delîl Hebo), Bîbêrs (Îsa Derwêş), Mistefa Kobanê (Mistefa Qadir), Ziyad Kobanê (Ziyad Hesen), Qûsayî (Qoseyi al-Kocak) and Bahoz Kobanê (Xalid Ebdî) were killed in attacks by the Turkish army and jihadist gangs and were buried today in the Şehîd Dicle cemetery.

Nobody can destroy our people

PYD politician Bêrîvan Îsmaîl expressed her condolences to the relatives of the martyrs and said: "The will of the people is unbroken. We stand together and defend ourselves against annihilation attacks and attempts to stir up conflicts between us. The enemy wants to destroy the unity of the peoples and the project of the democratic nation. We are organized and draw our strength from the ideas of Rêber Apo [Abdullah Öcalan]. Nobody can destroy our people."

Mourning for ten martyrs in Aleppo

Five fighters from the People's Protection Units (YPG), the Afrin Liberation Forces (HRE) and the local self-defense forces have been buried in the war cemetery of the self-governing districts of Şêxmeqsûd and Eşrefiyê in Aleppo. Their names were: Henan (Ebdulhenan Mecanu), Amed Kobanê (Ciwan Mistefa), Diyar Efrîn (Idrîs Arnab), Rojhat Efrîn (Yehya Cuma) and Mammo (Şerîf Debûs). At the same time, it was announced that Canyar Afrin (Ehmed Biyabo), Mezlûm Heleb (Mihemed Mihemed), Berxwedan Heleb (Mihemed Mamo), Aldar Afrin (Mihemed Elî Hesen) and Berxwedan Heleb (Ebdulezîz Ciwan) also fell as martyrs.
