The Kurdish Women's Movement in Europe (TJK-E) has announced the locations of the actions to be held today in solidarity with the women's revolution of Rojava and the Democratic Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria (DAANES).

Actions will take place in many places in Europe. The TJK-E has announced actions in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, France and Scandinavia and said: "On 14 December, we will show our solidarity with Rojava and the women's revolution."

The democratic project of Rojava is under threat

In the call for participation in the actions, the TJK-E pointed to the threat to self-government posed by military operations by the Turkish army and the Turkish-controlled militia "Syrian National Army" (SNA). These, said the statement, "not only represent an attempt to dismember Syria, but are also directed against the social and cultural achievements of the women's liberation struggle, which in the DAANES has brought about democratic coexistence of many different ethnic groups in a war-torn area."

The statement added: "This day is intended to strengthen resistance and raise awareness of the ongoing threat of occupation, violence and oppression. We call on all women, especially Kurdish women, as well as the democratic public and all those who believe in humanity, to show solidarity with actions and events.

The women in Rojava are fighting for a just, equal world. We must support their resistance to defend the freedom of the peoples and the fight for human rights. Jin Jiyan Azadî!"
