4 guerrillas martyred in ongoing Turkish airstrikes on guerrilla zones

HPG announced that the Turkish state continues the bombardments against the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in South Kurdistan territory.

People's Defense Forces (HPG) Press Office released a written statement regarding the ongoing aerial strikes of the Turkish state on guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in South Kurdistan territory.

Refuting the reports of Turkish warmongering media that dozens of guerrillas were killed by the attacks, HPG said 4 guerrillas were martyred and 5 others were wounded as result of Turkish airstrikes, adding that the ID details of fallen guerrillas will be announced later.

Accordingly, Turkish jets carried out intense bombardments on Medya Defense Zones on February 19-20, which targeted the following areas;

- Surroundings of the Sida village and the areas of Ciloyê Pıçuk, Kokerê and Şikefta Birîndara in Zap region at between 00.00 - 03.00 on February 20,

- Çemço area and Kani Sarkê village in Zap at between 05.30 - 07.00 on February 20,

- A hill in the surroundings of the Sêgire village in Duhok's Amadia district at between 10.00 – 10.30 on February 20,

- Shivê hamlet in Avashin at between 11.00 - 12.00 on February 19.

- Mervanıs hamlet in Avashin at between 12:00 – 12:45 on February 20.
