953 people quarantined in Kurdistan Region, 16 confirmed cases

Kurdistan Regional Government Health Minister Saman Berzenci announced at a press conference in Hewlêr on Tuesday that two more people were diagnosed with coronavirus, Covid-19.
According to the Minister, the number of confirmed cases across the region rose to 16. Berzenci stated that 3,064 people were quarantined in 29 places in the Kurdistan Region, while tests on 2,111 people proved negative and the people could return to their homes.
Berzenci said: “Two of the 154 people tested proved positive in the past 24 hours. One of them is a 19 year old student (...) and the other is a 64 year old citizen."
The Minister of Health stated that 953 people still remain in quarantine.
