Co-mayor of Hakkari's Esendere town detained after getting dismissed

Yet another co-mayor of a DBP-held municipality in North Kurdistan has been detained in the scope of the increasingly ongoing political genocide operations against Kurdish people and their elected representatives.

Akif Kaya, co-mayor of the Esendere town in Hakkari's Yüksekova town, has been taken into custody after a house raid this morning. He has been taken to Yüksekova District Gendarmerie Command.

Kaya was dismissed from position yesterday.
