Co-mayor of the DBP-held municipality of Fındık town in Şırnak's Güçlükonak district, Ahmet Ece has been taken into custody as result of a house raid in Istanbul this morning.

Ece was taken to Istanbul Police Department while the reason for his detention was not disclosed.

On January 18, soldiers raided the municipality and, Güçlükonak district governor Osman Demir was assigned trustee to take over the administration of the municipality.
