The office of the Democratic Society Congress (DTK) in Amed (Diyarbakır) was stormed by the police early this morning in the scope of an investigation launched by Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office over the data and documents seized during a raid carried out on 9 October 2018.
The door was broken as police forces stormed into the office where the signboards, computers and books were confiscated afterwards. Following the search that continued into the noon, the DTK office was sealed on the instruction of Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. Armored vehicles have been deployed outside.
As many as 42 people have been taken into custody so far in the scope of the investigation against the DTK. There is an arrest warrant for a total of 64 people.
