Family waits for five years before being allowed to get remains of their son

As a result of clashes that broke out in the region of Besta in Şırnak in 2018, HPG guerrilla Diljar Hazar fell as a martyr. Hazar's body was taken to the Şırnak State Hospital morgue.
Despite the DNA test performed by his family for identification purposes, Hazar's body was buried in the cemetery of the nameless in the city center.
The family went to the police on Friday and was told that, in fact, the DNA test performed five years ago, matched the sample from the body.
The family was able to recover Hazar's remains from the cemetery of the orphans, and brought them to Idil (Hezex) to bury them there.
The funeral eventually took place at Şexhesen Cemetery and was attended by MEBYA-DER members and HDP district administration.
