Five people detained in Savur, Mardin

The Turkish regime’s political genocide operations continue unabated.

Turkish soldiers stormed houses in the rural neighborhood of Soylu (Derîş) in Mardin’s Savur district Friday morning and detained five people.

The detainees were reportedly arrested in the scope of investigations launched in 2014 and 2015 and they have been taken to Savur District Gendarmerie Command.

On the other hand, procedures have been completed for HDP Mardin branch co-chair Perihan Ağaoğlu and nine other people who were detained in an operation in Mardin and its districts on February 29. While the detainees are accused for their political activities in 2014 and 2015, seven of them were released after procedures at the police station.

Ağaoğlu and HDP Mardin branch former co-chair Musa Alkan have been referred to court.
