Gerîla TV has published footage from an action in which guerrillas hit Turkish soldiers in northern Kurdistan.
The Turkish army has been building a ‘security road’ between Serêkaniyê and Kozili outposts located in Ağrı’s Doğubeyazıt district for a while.
At 6 am on June 1, Free Women’s Troops (YJA-Star) guerrillas hit a vehicle transporting Turkish contra forces involved in the road construction efforts. While the vehicle was destroyed, 6 contras in it were killed and 2 others wounded.
After removing the dead and wounded from the scene, the Turkish army started an operation in the area in the evening hours and it was discontinued on the same day without achieving any results.
Statement by guerrilla sources said; “The Turkish invasion army made its media report on this action as an attack against civilians. These contras were acting and cooperating with the occupation forces and stand side by side with the enemy against the values and guerrillas of the Kurdish people.”
