The Press Office of People’s Defense Forces (HPG-BIM) released a statement announcing the details of a sabotage action carried out by guerrillas.
According to HPG-BIM, guerrillas hit the Turkish army in Şemdinli (Şemzinan) district of Hakkari on September 27 evening as part of the Martyr Bager and Martyr Ronya Revolutinary Campaign.
The statement said that a sabotage action by guerrillas targeted a Turkish military vehicle on move between Museka and Merge outposts of the Turkish army. While the vehicle was destroyed completely with the soldiers in it, the number of those killed here couldn’t be clarified.
Following the action, the Turkish army launched an operation in the area which was retreated inconclusively on September 28 evening. The involved guerrilla unit returned to their base safely.
On the other hand, HPG-BIM stated that the Turkish army started an operation in the vicinity of Pacan village and Mengene area in Van’s Gürpınar district on September 23 night. The operation was retreated inconclusively on September 27.
