HPG: Two Turkish soldiers killed in Kars

Attacks by the Turkish army and actions by the guerrillas continue.

The Press Office of People’s Defense Forces (HPG-BIM) released a statement detailing the actions of guerrillas and attacks of the Turkish army in Kurdistan territory.

KARS

The statement said that the Turkish army started an operation in Çemçe area in Kağızman district of Kars on September 20.

As part of the ongoing ‘Revolutionary Victory Campaign’, guerrillas carried out a sabotage action against operation units at 10 am on September 24. The number of soldiers killed or wounded here couldn’t be clarified.

At 11 am on September 25, guerrillas carried out a second sabotage action against operation units, which left two soldiers dead.

GABAR

HPG-BIM said that two guerrilla fighters were martyred in an airstrike of the Turkish army in the area of Mount Gabar in Şırnak countryside at around 00:30 on September 28. The identities of the martyrs will be announced to the public later on, it added.

BAŞKALE

According to the statement, the operation launched by the Turkish army in the vicinity of the Sulave village in Van’s Başkale district on September 23 was retreated inconclusively on September 27.

MEDYA DEFENSE ZONES

HPG-BIM stated that the Turkish army continued with aerial bombardments against guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones. Accordingly, Turkish jets shelled Çemço and Karker areas in Zap region at noon on September 30. Guerrillas suffered no losses in these bombardments, added the statement.
