The youths joining the march from Sulaymaniyah to Hewler, which is on its sixth day, were stopped by KDP asayish forces at a checkpoint in the town of Pırdê from where they resumed their march towards Hewler this morning.
Asayish forces blocked the youths, citing an instruction for the obstruction of the demonstrators from entering Hewler.
The demonstrators, consisting of some 200 youths, started a sit-in in front of the Pırdê checkpoint where they will continue their protest until the obstruction is removed.
The march of the demonstrators was scheduled to end with a demonstration in front of the Turkish Consulate in Hewler today.
