One Turkish soldier killed in Heftanin

Guerrillas continue inflicting blows on the occupant Turkish army in Kurdistan territory.

Guerrillas from YJA Star (Free Women’s Troops) targeted Turkish soldiers in Heftanin region of guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan, northern Iraq.

The Press Office of People’s Defense Forces (HPG-BIM) released a statement detailing the action which was carried out as part of the ‘Battle of Heftanin Revolutionary Campaign’ at 11:00 on March 2nd.

According to the statement, YJA Star guerrillas carried out a targeted action against the Turkish soldiers stationed on Hill Büyük Konferans. The action left a soldier dead.

HPG-BIM reported that the Turkish army continued with airstrikes against Medya Defense Zones. A recent strike by Turkish jets targeted the Goshine area in Xakurke region at 17:30 on March 3rd. The bombardment did not result in casualties in guerrilla ranks, added the statement.
