Talatê villager: Turkish state forces continue to destroy our houses

A villager from Talatê called İbrahim stated that they had experienced a similar cruelty in the past and said "They could will not yield any results with this cruelty, just like they did not in the past."

A villager from Talatê in Nusaybin, which has recently been the target of state forces' attacks and blockade, called İbrahim stated that the destruction of the village continues and a violent explosion took place this morning after the arrival of construction vehicles in the village. İbrahim said that they had experienced a similar cruelty during the 1990s but state forces did and could not yield any results with such attacks.

'OUR VILLAGE WAS DESTROYED IN 1993'
İbrahim noted that state forces attacked his village in 1993, evacuated the village and forced its residents to migrate. İbrahim said that they returned to their villages and constructed their houses after many years, and Turkish state forces are now targeting and destroying these new houses.

'WE DID NOT KNEEL THEN, WE WILL NOT KNEEL NOW'
İbrahim recalled that the residents of Talatê village did not kneel before cruelty during the 1990s and would not kneel before today's violence, which is many times more than the violence of the 1990s. İbrahim said that the state's aim is to put them through another massacre and force them to migrate, but they would remain in their motherland and continue their resistance at all costs. İbrahim emphasized that the destruction and cruelty of state forces would only increase the anger of Kurdish people, and said "Stop this savagery, you did not yield any results then and will not do so now."

'DESTRUCTION CONTINUES IN THE VILLAGE AS ATTACKS CONTINUE'
İbrahim stated that destruction and attacks continue in the village and said "They brought a construction vehicle to the village this morning and currently, three such vehicles carry out demolitions. So far, the houses of Abdurrahman Akbaş, Adil Akbaş, Osman Akbaş and Mehmet Acar have been destroyed. We have not clarified to whom other destroyed houses belong to."

'WE WILL NOT YIELD, OUR PEOPLE SHOULD EMBRACE US'
Lastly, İbrahim called upon Kurdish people to embrace them and said "We resisted and will continue to resist here. They cannot intimidate us with oppression and massacres. Our people should unite with us and embrace us."
