The Press Office of People’s Defense Forces (HPG) reported that Turkish warplanes carried out strikes against guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan, northern Iraq.

According to the statement, Turkish bombardments targeted the following locations at between 15:30 and 17:00 on January 12:

Werxelê area in Zap region,

Xantur area in Heftanin region,

Small Cilo area in Zap region,

Kanî Sarkê area in Gare region.

At 21:30 on January 10, Kanî Sarkê area in Gare region was shelled again.

HPG added that the bombardments did not result in casualties in guerrilla ranks.
