People's Defense Units (YPG) Press Office released a statement reporting ongoing attacks by the Turkish military and gangs operating under the command of the Turkish army on the lands of Rojava, West Kurdistan.
According to the statement,
The Turkish army shelled the village of Ayn Daqnê in Efrîn with mortar and DShK fire on February 16, 2017.
The Turkish army and affiliated gangs shelled the villages of Belûnê and Qitmê with howitzer and mortar fire on February 17. The gangs carried out simultaneous mortar attacks on Sheikh Isa town.
On February 18, the occupant Turkish army hit the villages of Maranez, Belûnê and Wila Qadî with howitzer and mortar fire.
On February 19, the Turkish army began a road construction in Zorava village to the west of Kobanê. On the same day, a Turkish UAV carried out reconnaissance flights over the Kobanê border from the evening till the morning.
Again the same day, the Turkish army bombed the villages of Ayn Daqnê and Belûnê with mortar and DShK fire. In the evening hours, Turkish troops attacked the villages of Maranez and Ayn Daqnê with DShK, mortar and tank fire. One YPG fighter fell a martyr and 3 others got wounded as result of this attack.
In the evening hours, gangs attacked Sheikh Isa and Til Rifat towns with tank and DShK fire.
