17 people were reported killed in two separate attacks which targeted the people attending the Newroz celebration in Hesekê town of Cizire Canton in Rojava, West Kurdistan, yesterday evening.

According to ANHA, the first attack in Şehitler (martyrs) Square in Muftî neighborhood left five people dead.

The second attack which targeted the Newroz event across PDK-S building, 300 meters from the scene of the first attack, left 12 other people dead.

The bomb attacks also left dozens of people wounded who were rushed to Hikmê, Watanî, Şabo and İsmet Bexdî hospitals in the city.

Some of the wounded were taken to hospitals in Qamislo city.
