20 HDP members detained in Gebze
In today’s political genocide operations in Kocaeli province, 20 HDP members including Gebze district co-chairs have been taken into custody.
Wave of arrests continues ahead of the 3rd Ordinary Congress of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) to be held in Ankara on February 11.
In Gebze district of Kocaeli province, police forces conducted simultaneous house raids targeting several addresses Friday morning.
20 people were taken into custody in the operation, including HDP Gebze district co-chairs Damla Bağcı and Mustafa Altunbaş.
The detainees were taken to the anti-terror branch of police department.
