20 killed in ISIS attack on Shia mosque in Afghanistan
In Afghan capital Kabul ISIS perpetrated a bloody attack on a Shia mosque killing 20 people, 10 of whom are civilians.
In Afghan capital Kabul ISIS perpetrated a bloody attack on a Shia mosque killing 20 people, 10 of whom are civilians.
ISIS attacked a Shia mosque in Kabul, capital of Afghanistan. 20 people, 10 of whom are civilians, have been killed in the attack. Afghan Ministry of Health reported that more than 50 persons have been injured as well. The ministry also stated that 3 attackers have been killed.
Afghan authorities announced that one of the attackers detonated explosives, which he carried in a suicide belt on him, inside the mosque and the other two attackers stormed the mosque with arms afterwards. It has been reported that over 100 worshippers have been retrieved safely out of the mosque in a rescue operation.
