25 YPG/YPJ fighters laid to rest in Til Hemis

25 fighters of the YPG/YPJ (People's / Women's Defense Units) who fell in clashes in Til Hemis in 2014 and 2015 are being laid to rest in a funeral attended by thousands of people.

25 fighters of the YPG/YPJ (People's / Women's Defense Units) who fell in clashes in 2014 and 2015 are being laid to rest in a funeral attended by thousands of people.

A funeral has been organised today in Til Hemis for 19 YPG/YPJ fighters who lost their lives in 2014 in clashes with the ISIS gangs and 6 other fighters who fell in the operation launched to liberate in Til Hemis on 21 Feb. 2015. The names of the 6 fighters who recently lost their lives are: Qasim Qasim (Hogir Qamişlo), Şêro Usman (Şêro Qamişlo), Raman Mehmud (Botan Cesur), Ciwan Îbrahîm (Mazlum Qamişlo), Siwar Mehmud (Demhat Qamişlo) and Cegerxwîn Cemîl (Ceger Qamişlo).

Thousands have gathered at Mala Gel (People's House) in Enteriye neighbourhood of the townbefore marching to Martyr Delil Sarxan Cemetery for the funeral. The march has also been joined by administrators of the Cizire Canton as well as representatives from ENKS.

The crowd carried the pictures of the YPG/YPJ fighters and the flags of the YPG during the march to the cemetery for the funeral.
