Out of 6 people who were detained in Bismil district of Amed the day before, 3 were remanded in custody, while 10 other people were detained in the province of Batman.

Six people who had been detained as a result of house raids in various neighborhoods of Bismil the day before were referred to the courthouse yesterday following procedures at district police headquarters. Three among them were released after bearing testimony to the public prosecution office while three others who were referred to a court were remanded in custody and sent to Diyarbakır D Type Closed Prison, accused of “bringing in new members to an illegal organization”.

On the other hand, a total of 10 people were taken into custody in a house raid operation carried out by large numbers of police teams in Batman earlier today. The detainees, one of whom is under 18, were taken to provincial police directorate.
