3 Turkish soldiers killed in clashes in Amed countryside

Turkish military operations and guerrilla actions continue in Kurdistan.

People’s Defense Forces Press Office (HPG-BIM) released a statement providing information about guerrilla actions in Hakkari and clashes with the Turkish army in Amed.

The statement by HPG-BIM said the following;

“Within the scope of the Martyr Pîroz and Martyr Agirî Revolutionary Campaign, on August 7, at 18.30, our forces carried out a series of assassination actions against the invading Turkish army positioned on Haruna hill in Hakkari’s Şemzînan (Şemdinli) district. One soldier was killed, and one soldier was wounded in these actions.

On August 1st, the invading Turkish army launched an operation in the Bekira, Elike, Dirkam, Elnexir and Serdê areas of the Martyr Rojhat zone between Amed’s Lice and Hani districts.

On August 2, at 20.30, clashes broke out between the enemy’s disguised units in the area and our forces. Three enemy soldiers were killed in the clashes which lasted until the morning of August 3, and many enemy soldiers were wounded. Throughout this clash, the invading forces intensively bombed the area with the support of unmanned aerial vehicles.

Our comrades Şahin Amed and Azad Rojhilat, who fought heroically against the enemy until their very last bullets, have reached martyrdom. The ID information of our fallen comrades will be shared with the public later on.”
