36 gang members killed in Kobanê

YPG Press Centre said in a written statement that the Kobanê resistance in the phase of victory continues on the 173rd day against the occupation attempt of the ISIS organisation. According to the statement, the western side of the Kobanê Canton has entirely been cleansed of gangs.
Noting that the operation to liberate the town of Şêxler in west Kobanê has been accomplished, the statement said that YPG/YPJ have eliminated the ISIS occupation on the entire western front stretching from Kobanê to the Euphrates.
YPG said ISIS gangs on the eastern front were also targeted and inflicted severe losses, reporting that 21 ISIS members were killed in heavy clashes in the quarry area. A vehicle of the gangs was also destroyed, while corpses of 12 as well as munitions of the gangs were seized. The area of the quarry was cleared of gang groups after the operation.
The statement said that 2 gang members were killed in an attack in which gang groups near the village of Îqbiş were targeted, and 3 others in clashes in the rural areas of the Şêro village.
YPG informed that gang groups have launched an attack on the village of Derfilît to the soıtheast of Kobanê early this morning, but their attacks were repelled upon an immediate and strong response by Defense Units. At least 6 members of the gangs were killed here, it added.
Two fighters of the YPG/YPJ have fallen during clashes and operations within the last 24 hours.
Heavy clashes between Til Temir and Heseke
YPG Press Centre also reported that groups affiliated to the terrorist organisation of ISIS attacked the villages of Til Nasira, Til Xerîta, Megas, Reguva and Til Fiwedat between Til Temir and Heseke from four directions earlier today. Heavy and hand-to-hand fighting continues in the region, the statement said, adding that detailed information about the clashes here will be released later.
