41 gang members killed in Kobanê and Til Hemis

YPG said that an offensive was launched against the gang groups deployed in the Qereqozax area 30 km southwest of Kobanê last night. According to the statement, fierce clashes took place during the offensive in which the village of Ceadê and strategic hills near the Qereqozax bridge were targeted. The village and targeted strategic hills were cleansed of ISIS gangs and liberated in the wake of clashes in which 26 gang members were killed, YPG said. Arms belonging to the gangs were also seized.

YPG Press Centre reported that ISIS gangs attempted an attack against the Qil Haydê and Dicle area check point south of Kobanê. Defense Units repelled the attempted attack with a bomb-laden vehicle, destroying the vehicle with gang members inside. 10 gang members were ascertained killed in the clashes and their arms were seized, the statement added.

According to statement, YPG/YPJ fighters also liberated a village in south Til Hemis which the gangs had been using as a headquarters in their attacks. 5 members of the gangs were killed and four others were wounded, while their arms and munitions were also seized.

YPG Press Centre said Defense Units destroyed a vehicle with gangs inside in a separate attack near the village of Xizêla, adding that the number of ISIS casualties couldn't be made clear.
