Five people were taken into custody as a result of house raids in 4 villages in Çınar district of Amed.

Units affiliated to Çınar District Gendarme Command carried out simultaneous raids in the villages of Ovabağ, Demirölçek, Yeşilbağ and İnanönzü early in the morning.

Five people including HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) Çınar district executive Cemil Arslan were detained in the operation which was also participated by special operation teams.

While the reason for detentions wasn't immediately clear, the detainees were taken to Çınar District Gendarme Command to be interrogated.
