Representatives of the Alevi Cultural Center in Westport (Wales) visited the Kurdish Community Center and Ilhan Şiş who is on hunger strike demanding the end of isolation imposed upon Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan who is imprisoned in the Imralı Island Prison since 1999.

The representative of the Welsh Alevi Cultural Center said that the Kurdish question should be resolved as soon as possible for peace and a democratic Turkey. In order to solve the question, said the activists, the demands of hunger strikers should be fulfilled before any loss of life. Alevi representatives asked the end of the isolation against Öcalan.
