İHD has said that the remains of artist Ali Temel have been recovered in a mass grave in Mazıdağ. Temel, a PKK guerrilla as well as a musician, died in clashes in 1994. The mass grave is being excavated these days. The bones of another guerrilla, Ali Kevci, were also recovered.

Ali Temel had been jailed in 1981 in Diyarbakır prison. After being freed in 1990, Temel founded the group Koma Çiya, which became famous with the tape "Rozerin".

Temel also worked for the cultural pages of Özgür Ülke newspaper while at the same time continuing to go on stage with his music group. He lost his life following clashes with the army on 13 July 1994.
