The body of Assyrian Assembly (MFS) commander Sanharip Esam Yonan has been found, a month after he went missing.
It has been reported that the MFS commander Hawro (comrade) Sanharib was drowned in the Khabour river after he had helped to save his comrades in the attacks that the ISIS gangs launched in Khabour on 23 February. His body was found yesterday and identified by his comrades.
On 23 February 2015, during the attacks the ISIS gangs launched on Khabour and the village of Til Temiz, 3 MFS fighters lost their lives after running out of ammunition. The other fighters were rescued by their commander, Hawro Sanharib.
MFS announced on Thursday that they had found the body of MFS commander Sanharib Esam Yonan, who was missing for over a month. Sanharib Esam Yonan was originally from Til Shamiran village and was living in Gozarto Haseke. He joined the MFS to protect his people a year ago.
Martyr Sanharib joined the mobile troop Martyr Abgar in February 2014. He improved himself militarily in a short time and started to use heavy weapons. He took part in many operations of the MFS in Rabia and Til Kocer in Syria and Jazaa in Iraq.
