UPDATED: Twenty dead in Mandala Bay mass shooting in Las Vegas

At least 20 people have been killed and more than 100 others wounded as a gunman opened fire at a country concert at Mandala Bay casino in Las Vegas.

Country singer Jason Aldean was performing during the Route 91 Harvest Festival when gunfire erupted. According to eyewitnesses hundreds of rounds were fired and at the first moment, it was confused with firecrackers. 

There were about 40 thousand fans in the open-air field at the time of the shooting. 

Las Vegas police confirmed that 20 people were killed and more than 100 wounded. 

The police announced that the suspect was killed and they don’t believe there was another shooter. 

The area is locked down by the police. All clubs and businesses on the strip are closed.   

The police didn’t give any details about the identity of the attacker or if the attack is terror-related.
