Clashes continue on three fronts in Kobanê

YPG (People's Protection Units) Press Centre said in a written statement Thursday that ISIS attacks to occupy the Kobanê town of West Kurdistan, Rojava, continued for the 52nd day.

According to the statement, fierce clashes have taken place between YPG forces and ISIS gangs in Kaniya Kurda and Municipality Street areas on the eastern front. 9 gang members were killed in yesterday's fighting that lasted all day and night long.

The statement said YPG forces carried out an action against gangs in the village of Karamox, 20 km to the east of Kobanê, blowing up a vehicle of the gangs with militants inside, while the exact figure of casualties couldn't be ascertained.

Severe clashes have also taken place on the southern front, the YPG Press Centre informed, adding that the number of ISIS casualties could not be made clear.

1 gang member was killed and one other wounded in an attack which targeted a motorcycle belonging to the gangs on Aleppo road.

In the fighting in the Arbus hamlet on the western front, 9 members of the gangs were killed, the statement added.
