Clashes going on in Girke Lege
According to the information received from People's Defense Units (YPG) sources, Al Nusra Front launched an attack against the YPG check points in the villages of Yusifiye and Cinediye in Girke Lege Thursday evening.
Clashes broke out in the region as YPG units responded to the attack. Eight members of the Al Nusra Front were killed and their two military vehicles were destroyed by YPG fighters.
Clashes are also continuing in the villages of Til Elo Xemir, Girhok and Eli Aza in Til Koçer region. Casualities are reported, with the exact figures not known yet.
Following clashes that broke out after gang groups' attack on Kurdish fighters in Girke Lege, YPG seized the contol of the 20th oil well, near the village of Siwediye, managed by Rimelan Petroleum Directorate.
Al Nusra affiliated armed groups launched another attack on the YPG check point in the village of Dawidiye on Serekaniye-Til Temir way at around 22:15 local time. Two YPG fighters have reportedly lost their life in the attack.
On the other hand, 19 Kurdish students in Haseke were abducted by members of the Al Nusra Front on the Haseke-Til Temir way yesterday evening. The whereabouts of the students remains unknown.
On the other hand, YPG has handed over the control of the Rojava-Northern Kurdistan borderline to the People's Assembly of Serekaniye. Following two days of fierce clashes with Al Nusra Front and some other Al Qaida affiliated armed groups, YPG had seized the control of the border gate yesterday.
After opening fire on the YPG-controlled areas in Serekaniye Wednesday afternoon, Turkish military launched another attack against YPG units late in the evening.
In a written statement published on its official website, Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) Chief of the General Staff said that Turkish military launched a heavy weapon and howitzer attack on YPG positions on Wednesday evening.
Confirming that YPG had seized the control of the Serekaniye city, Chief of the General Staff remarked that the staff of the border post were deployed in the central border division located 15-20 meters away from the post.
