Colombia President Iván Duque said that Colombian security forces have killed an ELN (National Liberation Army) rebel commander known by his nom de guerre Uriel, during an operation in the coastal Pacific province of Choco.
Uriel, whose real name was Andres Felipe Vanegas Londono, was a leader in the National Liberation Army and was known for his media appearances, online videos and a Twitter account.
Speaking in a broadcast with police and military leaders on Sunday evening, Duque said Uriel was killed in a military operation.
