A delegation under the chairmanship of Council of Europe (CoE) Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland has met with officials from the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) in Ankara to discuss the recent developments in Turkey.

The HDP delegation was made up of HDP Co-chair Sezai Temelli, Group Deputy Chair Filiz Kerestecioğlu and Bingöl MP Hişyar Özsoy.

During the meeting in Turkish capital, the situation of imprisoned politicians, the Turkish state’s invasion attacks against Afrin, policies on the Middle East, increasingly ongoing operations of political genocide, State of Emergency (OHAL) practices and Turkey-Council of Europe relations were discussed.
