Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Co-chair Keskin Bayındır spoke about the political genocide operations carried out under the name of the 'Kobanê investigation'.

Bayındır said that the AKP-MHP government attacks the HDP as it is in a deep crisis, and emphasized that the government is trying to remain in power.

Reminding that the HDP has submitted many parliamentary questions regarding the Kobanê protests, Bayındır said: "All the questions were rejected by the AKP-MHP. This once again revealed that the AKP-MHP is responsible for those who lost their lives in Kobanê Serhildan. All these are also in the parliamentary records."

Noting that the AKP-MHP launched political genocide operations against the HDP and tried to cover up its crimes in the Kobanê serhildan, Bayındır continued: "The Kobanê serhildan comes to the fore every few years. THE AKP-MHP attack the HDP through Kobanê actions. 6 years have passed now. The public clearly sees that the AKP-MHP is no longer able to rule the country. There is chaos and tension everywhere in the country.

The government attacks the opposition to prevent the public from seeing this. The only party that exposes the AKP-MHP's crimes and opposes its policies is the HDP. This is why the HDP is always the favourite target of the government. The government's plan to 'criminalize' the HDP will come to nothing."

Pointing out that in the last days, Kars Municipality has been targeted by the government, Bayındır said: "Kars has become the biggest problem of the AKP-MHP. When the DBP won the Iğdır Municipality, the AKP government spokesman Cemil Çiçek said: ‘They have now reaching the Armenian border’. They are constantly having this fear. Kars is also a problem for the AKP-MHP because is a different place with a rich culture. Kurds, Turks, Persians and Terekemes live in this city. All peoples living in Kurdistan have a rich and specific culture.”

Bayındır continued: “It is the first time that the people of Kars have received such good service and this is thanks to the HDP municipality. The co-mayors of the Municipality have countered theft and corruption and put the municipality at the service of the people. The AKP-MHP took action to smear the municipality. It is in this context that the co-mayors of the Municipality Ayhan Bilgen and Şevin Alaca and HDP council members were detained. All citizens of Kars see the municipality's work positively. Our municipalities and councillors have not committed any 'crime' other than serving the public. HDP has become the target of the AKP-MHP because it has opened a new prospective in Kars."

Bayındır ended his remarks by saying: "All institutions and opposition parties should wage a strong struggle against political genocide policies and fascism. Because these operations are not only against the HDP, it is against all the peoples of Kurdistan and Turkey. All caring for human rights and political rights and the respect of the rule of law in Turkey should unite and react strongly against the AKP-MHP."
