Speaking to Med Nuçe (Med News) on Tuesday, the Defence Minister of Kobanê, Ismet Sheik Hesen, stated that the ongoing clashes are occurring on the eastern and southern fronts and around the town.

Remarking that there are taking place no clashes at the centre, İsmet Şeyh Hesen said that the border region is also under the control of YPG fighters.

Hesen stated that the brutal ISIS terrorist organisation wanted to carry out a massacre in Kobanê, adding; “There are civilian people in the town and they must be protected”.

The Defence Minister of Kobanê who also called on the international powers to not to leave Kobanê alone against the ISIS gangs added: “Everyone must protect Kobanê in order to prevent ISIS gangs from carrying out a massacre. Everyone must take action everywhere and do their best for Kobanê."
