Kurdish youths and German leftist groups staged a demonstration in one of Frankfurt’s busiest streets, Hauptwache, yesterday evening to demand freedom for Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan and protest against the German state’s ban on PKK, Kurdish flags and symbols.
With banners of PKK, KCK and posters of Öcalan, the demonstrators chanted slogans in German, urging Germany to remove the PKK ban and condemning the isolation on Öcalan.
The demonstration attracted the interest of Frankfurt residents.
