DÖKH Mersin launches campaign for Rojava

Mersin Branch of Democratic Free Women's Movement (DÖKH) has launched a campaign under the slogan “Our people in Rojava are not alone”.

The humanitarian aid campaign for the Rojava people under embargo was announced with a press conference at the BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) Mersin office.

Speaking here, DÖKH member Şükran Tamir voiced their solidarity with the people of Rojava who -she said- are giving a great struggle against the Syrian regime and armed gangs led by dirty powers across the world.

Remarking that these armed gangs have been imposing great pressure and attacks on Rojava people fighting for their freedom, identity and lands, Tamir said the Turkish state and the ruling AKP (Justice and Development Party) government is trying to prevent the Rojava revolution by providing a dirty support to these gang groups.

Also underlining that women in Rojava are suffering from systematic rape and massacre, Tamir urged the government to immediately abandon its attitude and policy against Kurds, and its support to the perpetration of these crimes.

Tamir called on everyone to display solidarity with the people of Rojava and to enhance the struggle against al-Nusra gang group, the AKP government and its allies.

Tamir further called for mobilization for the “Our people in Rojava are not alone” campaign which has begun today and will last 15 days. Tamir added that aids for Rojava could also be delivered to BDP provincial and district organizations.
