Eighteen migrants die in truck accident in Izmir
The migrants were traveling on a truck which lost control and fell into an irrigation canal.
Eighteen migrants, among them some children, have lost their life as a result of an accident involving the truck that was carrying them.
The accident happened in Izmir.
It has been learned that the truck was traveling from Aydın to Izmir, when it went off the road in the Menderes district, falling into an irrigation canal.
According to the first information provided by people on the scene, at least 18 people have died, among them some children, while many others are reported to be injured.
