Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP) Istanbul provincial chairperson Pınar Türk had been taken into custody as a result of house raid 6 days ago on the grounds of her social media posts.
After 6 days in police custody, Türk was taken to Istanbul Çağlayan Courthouse and gave her statement at the prosecutor’s Office on Saturday.
Lawyers announced that Pınar Türk has been imprisoned on the grounds of an interview she gave about Turkey’s invasion operation against Afrin.
