Explosion in Qamishlo leaves three dead, nine wounded – FLASH

Two public security officers and one civilian died in an explosion near the public security (asayesh) headquarters in the Qamishlo city of western Kurdistan on Saturday evening. The explosion also left two other officers and seven civilians wounded.

The blast in the Qenastwês neighborhood occurred at around 16.30 when a car bomb was detonated near the asayesh headquarters, reported Hawar News Agency (ANHA), quoting officials.

People's Defense Units (YPG) control point in Til Maruf area of Tirbespiyê city has also been targeted by a bomb attack in the evening. The bomb attack which was carried out with a bomb-laden tractor left two YPG figters wounded.

On the other hand, al-Qaeda linked gang groups in the village of Harikê have reportedly launched artillery shootings against Til Maruf, reported local sources on Saturday. The village has been damaged by the attacks.
