Five people in Bahçesaray district of Van province have been taken into custody on the grounds of carrying posters during celebrations to mark the Kurdish New Year Newroz.

5 civilians who were taken to district police headquarters by police units early in the morning have reportedly been detained for carrying the posters of Gevaş Municipality Council Member Tahsin Akti and Van Metropolitan Municipality worker Metin Altındaş who lost their lives as a result of mine explosion soon after crossing into Kobanê several weeks ago.
