Four people, including one police officer, have been remanded in custody in connection with the killing of Ali İsmail Korkmaz, a young Gezi protester.

A total of 8 people, four of them police officers, had been taken into custody in connection with the death. 

Young Korkmaz was finally lied to rest in Hatay on July 11. He died after spending weeks in hospital with severe injuries sustained during the beating. He was the fifth person killed since the Gezi protest started in May.
